吕秀芹,是昌乐县毕都乡中学教师、县政协委员。1968年益都师范毕业后,她积极响应党的“支援山区,发展山区教育事业”的号召,一头扎进了沂蒙山区,26年来,她把自己的青春无私地奉献给了山区的教育事业,党和人民也给了她很高的荣誉:先后被评为山东省优秀教师、山东省优秀班主任、全国教育系统劳动模范并荣获人民教师奖章、山东省优秀共产党员等称号。吕秀芹非常朴实,当问到如何取得这些成绩时,她只说:“我做了一个教师应该做的。”“打铁先得自身硬”。这是吕秀芹的座右铭。20多年来,她把全部的精力和心血倾注在山区教育事业上。她深深懂得,“要给学生一滴水,自己必须有一桶,甚至更多。”吕秀芹

For more than 20 years she devoted all her energy and efforts to mountain education. She deeply understood, “To give students a drop of water, they must have a bucket, or even more.”
