  1. adjust to 适应;调节

  12. substitute A for B 用A代替B
  We substituted red balls for blue balls. 我们用红球替代蓝球。
  13. substitute A with B 用B代替A
  We must substituted speculative theories with experiment and observation. 我们应该用实验和观察代替纯理论。
