According to a recent report from India’s Express News Network, India plans to conduct its first Mars exploration mission in October 2013, which will search for signs of life on Mars and probe into the causes of the loss of Mars’s atmosphere. The detector launches a mass of 1350kg and consists of three arrays of solar panels of 1400 × 1800mm in size that generate 750W of power on a Mars orbit. The detector will feature 36-hour Li-Ion battery as energy storage unit, four reaction wheels, eight 22N thrusters and a 440N liquid rocket motor for attitude control and orbit control. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) received 5 mission instruments in March 2012 and started instrument integration from April
