看了《三国演义》之后,有人问;为什么三国时的人全都是单字名?的确,翻开史书看看,从东汉到三国这三百多年间的人名几乎全是一个字,双字名是极少极少的。《后汉书》《三国志》中的人名,间有二字名,或为隐逸之士,如庞德公、邓卢叙等;或为艺人,如东方安世;或为乳名,如刘盆子、郑小同;或以字行世,如黄承彦、荀巨伯。知识分子、官员显要,几乎全是单字名。这真是怪事。问题出在王莽身上。西汉末年,王莽篡夺了政权,为了巩固统治,他拣起了董仲舒的“神学目的论”,大搞迷信,大搞复古,以此
After reading The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, someone asked why the people of the Three Kingdoms are all single names. Indeed, looking through history books, the name of the people from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms for almost 300 years is almost a single word. The double word name is Very few. In order to consolidate the rule, he picked up Dong Zhongshu’s “Theological Teleology”, engaged in superstitious beliefs, and made retro motions.
