随着我国加入WTO及证券业全球化的发展 ,证券业面临着激烈的竞争 ,经营风险日益增加 ,并且证券公司经营危机和倒闭有极大的破坏性 ,这促使人们寻找更有效的机制和手段来减少危机发生的可能性 ,以降低券商危机对金融体系和经济的冲击。券商保险制度便是针对证券业经营不稳定和监管空缺而采取的一项有效措施 ,对维护我国证券业的安全和稳健运行 ,保障我国经济的健康发展具有重要的现实意义。
