分析了我国橡胶树选育种的现状，指出经几十年的艰苦奋斗，选育出一批优良品种在生产中推广，改变了我国推荐橡胶种植材料的面貌；在早期性状预测、组培和染色体组工程的研究等方面，都取得了显著成绩，提高了选育种水平。但目前面临的困难不少。笔者认为，从国家全局出发，“九五”期间橡胶树选育种的规模可适当缩小，但不能中断，否则后果不堪设想。
The status quo of rubber tree breeding in China was analyzed. It was pointed out that after decades of arduous struggle, a batch of fine varieties were bred to be popularized in production, which changed the appearance of recommended rubber planting materials in our country. In early traits prediction, tissue culture and chromosome Group engineering research, have made remarkable achievements, raising the level of breeding. However, there are quite a few difficulties at present. The author believes that starting from the overall situation of the country, the scale of rubber tree breeding during the Ninth Five-Year Plan period can be appropriately reduced, but it can not be interrupted. Otherwise, the consequences will be disastrous.
