一厦门与台湾的贸易住来大体分为两个发展阶段。第一阶段从1980年到1988年,一般是指通过两地渔民间所进行的易货贸易或小额现汇贸易;第二阶段是在1989年后,特别是厦门友利公司被国家经贸部批准为对台大额贸易公司以来,两岸贸易往来得到了较大的发展。这一阶段的一个特点是大额与小额贸易并存。这些年来由于台湾岛内投资环境恶化,台湾资金纷纷外流。1987年台湾开放民众回大陆探亲,台商陆续到大陆投资办厂,两岸间接贸易逐步得到了发展,厦门与台湾之间的经济联系也日益热络起来。(1)厦门对台贸易持续增长。1991年厦门对台贸易额为3602.81万美元,比1988年增长34.5倍,年递增率8.6倍。(2)厦门输入台湾的商品基本趋于稳定。这几年来,出口到台湾主要是水泥、纺织品类、水产品(包括海衅等)、轻工产品和工艺品等,基本上各占其出口总额的1/4。(3)厦门对台贸易基本上保持顺差。1988年厦门对台贸易额全是出口值。顺差为101.49万美元。1989年厦门对台贸易顺差42.02万美元;1990年1262.36万美元1991年厦门对台贸易
One trade between Xiamen and Taiwan is roughly divided into two stages of development. Over the past few years, exports to Taiwan have been mainly cement, textiles, aquatic products (including sea otters, etc.), light industrial products, and handicrafts, which basically accounted for 1/4 of their total exports.
