马铃薯软腐病是马铃薯贮藏期最重要的病害之一。其病原主要是Erwinia carotovoraPv.atroseptica (Eca)和Erwinia carotovora Pv.carotovora(ECC),也有Erwiniachrysanthemi。据国外资料报道,损失率为3-68%,平均15%。我国虽无准确资料,但对南京地区的初步调查表明,软腐病引起的马铃薯贮藏期腐烂也是很严重的,薯块的带菌率可达100%。病菌主要潜伏在皮孔内和表皮上,当环境条件适合时引起腐烂。
