From June 2001 to July 2006, 127 cases of critically ill patients underwent tracheal intubation in our hospital. During the operation, 12 cases (9.4%) failed due to improper handling and care. The report is as follows. 1 Materials and Methods 1.1 Clinical data 127 cases of tracheal tube surgery, 85 males and 42 females; aged 6 to 87 years.
