四喜粘,代号4091,系本所1981年以IET2038与桂朝2号杂文,经南繁加代,于1984年选育而成。同年加入南方中籼新品系联合鉴定试验,在29个供试材料中产量与品质综合评定名列前茅。1985年在本省八个县多点试验和试种表现突出,亩产千斤左右,高产田达到1400斤以上。各参试点一致认为四喜粘是一个米质优、产量高、熟期早、抗性好的中籼良种。
