赤峰縣黑山溝门是封山育林重点地区,所封养起来的树种,大都是些闊叶樹,針叶樹比重極少,因此,如何擴大發展針叶樹的比重,是当地群众迫切要求解决的問題。过去几年来,黑山溝門虽然栽植了兩次油松,成活的不多。如在1953年从外縣运来二年生油松苗木二万七千株,造林三十畝,由于远途运輸,苗木保湿和栽植技術較差,根据1957年的普查,僅成活30％。1955年和1956年虽然采取了就地育苗,就地造林的办法进行了油松山间育苗,但是由于选地不当,管理欠妥,特别是防寒不得法,結果都失敗了。
