【摘要】高中英语写作是高中生学习英语的重要内容,也是学生感觉难的一块。面对基础参差不齐的高三的学生如何在短期内快速提高写作呢? 笔者在日常的教学中总结了一些方法,希望能与大家共同探讨。

我们流行这样一句话,在英语考试中得完形阅读者得天下。但是得写作能力者得高分。写作是一项综合运用语言表达思想的能力,也是检验学生英语整体的一个最难拿高分的题型。大多数学生的语句都是汉语式表达,语言不地道,甚至还存在语法错误,写作技巧很难得到应用和体现。那么对于高三的学生有没有多拿点分的希望,可不可以快速提高呢?
一、首先是词汇
大家所表达的语句都差不多,没什么变化,唯一有变化的就是词汇。打个比方吧,很多想到“好的”就用good,但是excellent 相对是高级词汇了还有replace,substitute相对就高级些;想到“专家”就写expert,但很少人会想到specialist;想到“思考”就写think about,很少人会用take into consideration / take into account;还有happy——joyful,tired——exhausted,important —— vital ,be good at —— be expert at.这些就是高分和低分的区别之一。
二、其次是巧用连接词
很多学生在写文章的时候都是简单翻译,缺乏一些过度性的词语,致使文章不紧凑。例如,学生写了这样一段话:From 8:00am to 11:00am next week,we are going to pick apples.If you want to do it,you must sign up for it before 5:00pm next Thursday.And please bring your hat and gloves.这些虽然把意思都正确表达出来了,但是所写的不是一篇短文,而是相互之间没有联系的句子。高考作文第五档(21-25分)的评分要求中有一条是:“有效地使用了语言间的连接成分,使全文结构紧凑”。连接词的恰当使用可以使文章要点明确,重点突出,并且是句式变得丰富多彩,更具有说服力。所以我们可以加一些now ,then,if 等连接词使文章有连贯性。下面我把常用的一些连词总结如下:
1.表示罗列增加:First,second,third,First,then / next,after that / next,finally For one thing … for another…,On (the) one hand…on the other hand,Besides / what’s more / in addition / furthermore / moreover / another / also,Especially / In particular,
2.表示时间顺序:now,at present,recently,after,afterwards,after that,after a while,in a few days,at first,in the beginning,to begin with,later,next,finally,immediately,soon,suddenly,all of a sudden,at that moment,as soon as,the moment,form now on,from then on,at the same time,meanwhile,till,not…until,before,after,when,while,as during.
3.表示解释说明:now,in addition,for example,for instance,in this case,moreover,furthermore,in fact,actually
4.表示转折关系:but,however,while,though,or,otherwise,on the contrary,on the other hand,in contrast,despite,in spite of,even though,except (for),instead,of course,after all.
5.表示并列关系:or,and,also,too,not only … but also,as well as,both… and,either …or,neither…nor.
6.表示因果关系:because,because of,since,now that,as,thanks to…,due to…,therefore,as a result (of),otherwise,so…that,such…that.
7.表示条件关系:as (so) long as,on condition that,if,unless.
8.表示让步关系:though,although,as,even if,even though,whether …or…,however,whoever,whatever,whichever,wherever,whenever,no matter how (who,what,which,where,when,whom).
9.表示举例:for example,for instance,such as…,take… for example.
10.表示比较:be similar to,similarly,the same as,in contrast,compared with (to)…just like,just as. 11.表示目的:for this reason,for this purpose,so that,in order to,so as to.
12.表示强调:in deed,in fact,surely,certainly,no doubt,without any doubt,truly,obviously,above all.
13.表示概括归纳:in a word,in short,in brief,on the whole,generally speaking,in my opinion,as far as I know,As we all know,as has been stated,as I have shown,finally,at last,in summary,in conclusion.
三、再者就是语法,使用较复杂的句子结构
1.使用“不完全倒装句”:如:“I don’t believe it.”变成“By no means do I believe it.”;I not only sing ,but also dance,改动一下,Not only do I sing,but also dance.“This is a beautiful flower.”变成“So beautiful is the flower that we all like it.”
2.使用“强调句”:“You can solve most of the demanding problems.”可以改为;“It is in this way that you can solve most of the demanding problems.”又如:“I like English most.”改写为“It is English that I like most.”
3.with结构:只要有附带或并列的成分,就可以将其变成with结构。“She is a tall lady and wears a long and pretty hair.”可以改为“She is a tall lady with a long and pretty hair.”
4.非谓语动词:例如“When he heard the good news,he couldn’t help jumping.”可以改为“Hearing the good news,he couldn’t help jumping.”
需要注意的是,再好的句型,一旦重复次数过多,也会显得低俗。因而大家进考场前可以多掌握几种高级句型,就像战士上战场前多带几发子弹一样,在最关键的地方一发一发地用到作文里去。
最后就是背诵一些供万能公式型的文章主架和句型,在考试中根据特定考题填充具体内容。读书破万卷,下笔如有神。每天坚持背诵英文句子和范文,在加上勤练笔,贵在坚持,肯定可以在高三的最后一年快速提高自己的书面表达能力,从而提高英语得分。
