我不认为帮忙节目是拯救民生新闻的良方妙药。当前我国民生新闻的发展走到了一个十字路口:向右转——更加娱乐化;向左转——更加新闻化。服务类节目和新闻类节目还是有本质上的区别,前者关注个体,服务市民,后者干预社会,影响公众,以推动公平、正义和进步为已任。这种“越俎代庖”的帮忙极易造成记者角色的错位和媒体职能的越位。记者不是不可以帮忙,而是要帮到点子上,老百姓的困难事、烦恼事终归需要政府部门和社会各界去解决,媒体根本的职责还是新闻报道和舆论监督。
I do not think helping programs is a good recipe to save the livelihood news. At present, the development of our people’s livelihood news has reached a crossroads: turn right - more entertaining; turn left - more news. There is still a fundamental difference between service programs and news programs. The former focuses on individuals and serves the public. The latter intervenes in the society and affects the public, in order to promote fairness, justice and progress. This kind of “over-generation” can easily lead to the dislocation of the journalist’s role and the offside of the media function. Journalists are not allowed to help but think of problems and people’s troubles and troubles that ultimately require government departments and the community to solve their problems. The media’s fundamental responsibilities are still news reports and media supervision.
