2006年12月29日上午9时,两艘刚刚试航成功的17.5万吨好望角型散货船“哈默纽斯”号和“衡山”号徐徐靠上了上海外高桥造船厂码头。就在这一天,有“中国第一船厂”美誉的上海外高桥造船公司(简称SWS)创下了新纪录:2006年造船完工总量达到了历史性的311.5万载重吨,不仅成为我国率先超越300万载重吨大关的船厂,而且成为我国惟一一家年造船总量和手持订单双双进入世界十强行列的造船企业。SWS在成立仅7年的短时间里,走过了国内外许多船厂十几、几十年的起步、培育和发展期,其良好的成长性无疑具有中国造船现代化的样本意义。
On December 29, 2006, at 9:00 am, two 155,000-ton Capesize bulk carriers named “Hamerius” and “Hengshan”, which had just been successfully piloted, slowly leaned onto the pier of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard. Just this day, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company (SWS for short), known as “China’s No.1 Shipyard,” set a new record: the total shipbuilding completed in 2006 reached a historic 3.115 million deadweight tons, not only becoming the first surpassing of our country 3 million DWT shipyard, and become the only one in China’s total shipbuilding and hand-held orders both entered the ranks of the world’s top ten shipbuilding enterprises. In just a short span of seven years, SWS has gone through more than a dozen shipyards at home and abroad for several decades. Its good growth undoubtedly has the sample meaning of modernization of shipbuilding in China.
