集装箱运输是一种能够真正实现“门到门”运输的新型运输方式。杂货运输的集装箱化已成为不可逆转的趋势。因此,四川省已提出《西部综合交通枢纽建设规划》,积极打造铁路公路“无水港”和集装箱码头。本文基于这样的背景,创新性的提出了“适箱产业”这一概念,为集装箱产业提供了一个新的视角。通过对适箱产业的定义和发展规律的探究,归纳出了适箱产业的行业分布,并深入分析产业的空间分布特征和产业组织发展状况。探讨西部综合交通枢纽建设为四川发展适箱产业所创造的机遇,与此同时,分析适箱产业在发展中面临的挑战,进而提出积极发展适箱产业的策略,以促进四川适箱产业与集装箱运输水平的同步发展。
