自从1984年小平同志提出“计算机的普及要从娃娃做起”以来,中小学计算机教育已经跨过了十多个年头。随着计算机技术的飞速发展,中小学计算机教育的许多观念和内容正在更新,国内外许多有识之上一再呼吁,应该从现代信息学角度来认识和处理中小学计算机教育。虽然计算机技术与航天工业、核子物理等都属于现代高科技,但是计算机技术又有它大众化的一面,它的触角同时又伸向社会各行各业,直至教育和家庭娱乐。现代信息社会并不需要许多人去学习航天技术和核物理知识,但是却趋使着许多入学习计算机应用技术。它已逐渐成为信息社会成员进行信息交流,乃至生存的必备手段。中小学计算机普及教育同样也突破了计算机本学科的范畴,开始向整个教育领域进行广泛地渗透,而且直接影响着一些主要学科的课堂教学改革,涉及到如何培养适应未来社会所需人才的问题,这也是传统教学模式面临最大扫挑战。 Since 1984, when Comrade Xiaoping proposed that “popularization of computers should start with dolls”, computer education in primary and secondary schools has spanned more than 10 years.
