To investigate the effect of congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection on infants and toddlers, 65 patients with congenital CMV infection and 82 non-infected children underwent neonatal hearing screening with transient induced otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE) And hearing and intelligence follow-up 6 months to 4 years after birth. Infected group contractor 8 patients behind the control group, only 1 case, the two groups significantly different. In the neonatal period of infection group, there were 7 cases of 9 ears and 9 cases of 11 ears did not pass the TEOAE hearing test at the follow-up period. One case of 1 case did not pass the control group, and the rate of non-passage group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Neonatal period, follow-up binaural energy response was significantly lower than the control group. Twenty-four cases had auditory brainstem auditory evoked potential (ABR). In the infected group, 17 cases of hearing loss were found in 9 cases and 1 case of hearing loss in the control group. Prompt congenital CMV infection on hearing, intelligence should cause long-term concern.
