汾河二库大坝为碾压混凝土重力坝，在基础开挖中砂砾料覆盖深度达３０ ｍ ；上游围堰施工，围堰堰体采用 Ｐ Ｖ Ｃ 土工布防渗，地基采用高压旋喷桩，摆喷桩，灌浆处理地基２８ ｍ 深入到基岩；在两岸高边坡（１０５ ～９５ｍ ） 开挖中采用了预裂孔及深孔爆破，应用孔外微差分段爆破技术取得良好的施工效果；在大坝基础岩石开挖中采用一次性保护层开挖新技术，经试验测试及竣工验收，达优良工程的标准。
