范仲淹的名作《岳阳楼记》编进了《古代汉语》(北京出版社81年9月版)文选部分,也选入了现行初中语文课本。对文中的“长烟一空”,《古代汉语》解释为“长烟:弥漫空间很远的烟雾。一空:完全消散。”初中语文课本注释为“大片烟雾完全消散。一,全。”一些有关书刊的解释也都类似,这里不一一列举。可见,“长烟一空”即“大片烟雾完全消散,”几乎是一致的定论,然而,笔者却不以为然,恰恰相反,认为是“大片烟雾布满了(洞庭湖) 上空。”“一”,“全”的意思;也可以是“满”的意思。
