Block 71 of Yemen is located in the main fault depression of the western Sayun-Masila basin rich in petroleum and is sandwiched between large faults on the northern and southern borders and characterized by an asymmetrical double fault. “Off off Au ” structure pattern. The upper Cretaceous fault is less and the traps are not developed. The lower Jurassic and Precambrian basement faults develop and are cut by faults to form a large number of fault blocks, broken nose and faulted anticline traps. Based on the tectonic characteristics and hydrocarbon accumulation conditions of the block and the exploration results of oil and gas in this block and adjacent blocks, it is proposed that the western Nose Long structural belt of the block is the most favorable exploration zone and that the western base block fault combination is favorable The accumulation of oil and gas should be the next exploration direction.
