淮海经济区于1986年3月成立,经过18年的联合协作,呈现出快步发展势头。记者在2004年12月8日召开的“首届中国淮海经济区发展论坛”上了解到,作为我国承东启西连接南北经济的重要枢纽——淮海经济区,吸引了经济专家、学者及企业界、金融界的目光,迅速加快发展淮海经济已成有识之士的共识。此次论坛由中国市场学会主办,淮海经济区信息中心协办,中国社会科学院、中共中央政策研究室、国务院政策研究室、国务院发展研究中心、农业部政策法规司等部委的领导、专家、学者应邀到会。
