Mossbauer spectroscopy has been applied to the investigation of reaction of Sn[Fe(CN)6] on magnesia, 7-alumina, silica and activated carbon. It was found that the thermal decomposition products of supported Sn[Fe(CN)6] are quite different from those of the unsupported one as a result of the interaction between the complex and supports. The supports could promote the oxidation in the air atmosphere and their effect led to high dispersion of the decomposition products on the surface.
