The system of social security in the United States is not just a pensions pensioners receive from the federal government after retirement. This project has eight major characteristics and constitutes a social welfare safety net. In 1936, U.S. President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act and 80 years After that, the social security gold system that covers almost all the people remains one of the largest social welfare security programs in the United States.
