测定苗床、培养室内的空气相对湿度,都要使用干湿温度计。干湿温度计由两支形状、大小、构造都相同的温度表组成,一支测定空气温度,称干球温度表;另一支球部包扎着纱带,纱带浸润在蒸馏水或经过过滤的雨水中,这支温度表叫做湿球温度表。因为湿球纱带吸水后,水分不断蒸发所消耗的一部分热量,是取之于湿球温度表的球部及其附近的空气层,因此湿球温度表的示度低于干球温度表的示度,其差值叫做“干湿差度”。
