通用学术英语在我国大学英语教学体系中发展迅速,但相应的教材建设却较为滞后。调查显示,目前我国针对非英语专业本科生的通用学术英语教材存在六大问题:部分内容脱离学生需求,缺乏实用性;理论支撑薄弱,未能积极吸收学术英语领域最新研究成果;单元教学目标设置缺乏规范,随意性较大;教学理念陈旧,忽视学术英语教学方法上的特色;选材与练习设计问题繁多,细节亟待加强;立体化不足,没有充分利用现代教学技术。为解决这些问题,本文在分析教材评估与建设、二语习得、学术英语等三方面研究文献的基础上,提出了六项对策,以期推进通用学术英语教材的修订和开发。
General academic English has developed rapidly in our college English teaching system, but the construction of corresponding teaching materials lags behind. The survey shows that there are six major problems in the current general academic English teaching materials for non-English major undergraduates in our country. Some of the contents are out of the demand of students and lack of practicality. The theoretical support is weak and the latest research results in academic English are not actively absorbed. Lack of norms, more randomness; outdated teaching ideas, ignoring the characteristics of the academic English teaching methods; selection of materials and practice design problems, the details need to be strengthened; lack of three-dimensional, did not make full use of modern teaching techniques. In order to solve these problems, this article puts forward six countermeasures based on the research literature of assessment and construction of teaching materials, second language acquisition and academic English, with a view to promoting the revision and development of general academic English textbooks.
