古人云:“是故形而上者谓之道,形而下者谓之器。”意思是说那些在形器之上,无形体度量,高度抽象的规律,就叫做“道”;在形体之下,有形体可表现,是具体之物,就叫做“器”。在这里,我们把“道”引伸为文化的内容和精髓,而把“器”引伸为文化的具体表现形式,“道”和“器”是文化的不可或缺的两个方面,它们必定是相随相用的。一种文化在它的生存空间里能否发展,能否被弘扬光大,就要看它是否在人类社会中起到正面作用,并由此而取得相应的地位,即有为方有位,有位应有为。
