《2000年小康型城乡住宅科技产业工程》是我国实施的第一个重大科技产业工程项目。这是一项以科技为先导,以推动住宅产业发展为核心,以提高住宅功能质量、改善居住环境为目的的跨世纪科技产业工程。这项宏大的科技产业工程包括技术研究与开发、住宅产品开发及其产业化基础研究、住宅产业政策研究、小康住宅示范小区开发建设与管理(简称科技开发、产品产业、产业政策、示范小区)等四项分项实施方案。现已完成了规划设计方案的长沙县印山集镇桃园居住小区属于小康住宅示范小区(村镇部分)分项实施内容。现将示范小区的有关情况综合评述如下。
