Wen Weng Hao (1889-1971), the word Yong Ni, Zhejiang Yin County (now Ningbo) people, one of China’s most famous geologist. He has made contributions to all aspects of geology in China and has created many firsts in China: the first doctor of geology (University of Leuven, Belgium), the first author to write a book on China’s mineral resources, compiled the first national geological map, The first geologist to represent China in the International Geological Conference was the first one to identify the Chinese coal according to its chemical composition, the Yanshan Movement and the related magma activities and the formation theory of metal deposits.
