礦物的磁力分離,是按照礦物所具有的不同磁性,用一定的工具(詳見後述)把它們分離開。这种工作好像很簡單,但是,礦物磁力分離的結果,却在地質研究工作中,起着一定的重要作用;例如:在砂礦研究和重砂分析工作中,礦物的磁力分离已经成為不可缺少的一個步驟。經过磁力分離后,不仅能便於礦物种類的鑑定,而且对於砂礦的來源問题,亦提供了比较可靠的資料。如我國某锡礦区的砂礦中,磁 Magnetic separation of minerals, minerals are in accordance with the different magnetic, with certain tools (see later) to separate them.
