AODV 是在 DSR 和 DSDV 的基础上发展而来的一种按需平面距离矢量路由协议,继承了DSR 的路由发现策略,以及 DSDV 协议中的逐跳路由、序列号、定期广播机制。运行该协议结点不需要维持一致的及时更新的路由信息,在需要发送数据时才查找路由。各结点只保持需要的路由,而不需要维持通信过程中未激活的目的结点的路由。路由开销小,支持单播、多播和广播通信,是在 MANET 中使用较多的一种路由协议。本文对移动自组网络的体系结构和 AODV 协议的基本原理进行了讨论,指出了 AODV 协议的需要进一步研究的问题。
AODV is an on-demand planar distance vector routing protocol based on DSR and DSDV. It inherits the route discovery strategy of DSR and the hop-by-hop routing, sequence number and periodic broadcast mechanism in DSDV protocol. The node running the protocol does not need to maintain consistent and timely updated routing information, and only needs to send data to find the route. Each node only maintains the required route without the need to maintain the route of the inactive destination node during communication. Small routing overhead, support unicast, multicast and broadcast communications, is a more used in the MANET routing protocol. This paper discusses the architecture of mobile ad-hoc network and the basic principles of AODV protocol, and points out the need for further study of AODV protocol.
