中国古代对人物的形体审美在《世说新语》中开始真正独立。以《容止》一门的设立为标志,形体美在中国古代美学中获得了集中表现并具有了独立意义。由此出发,《世说新语》的人物审美标准还具有多元化和颠覆性的特点。其多元化表现为,形体美的范畴不只局限为威严和秀美,还包括中性美;颠覆性表现为对男女两性的审美都超越了传统(如“男才女貌”)的界定,同时,也体现在对少年之美的发掘和欣赏方面。由此,《世说新语》不仅在自然美的发现和人格美的发现方面有着非凡的意义,而且,在人物形体审美方面也具有划时代的意义。
The ancient Chinese aesthetics of the figure started a real independence in the “Shi Shuo Xin Yu”.
