Ｃａｓｐａｓｅ是哺乳动物细胞凋亡程序中一类关键的同源半胱氨酸蛋白酶 ,特异性地在天冬氨酸残基后裂解靶蛋白。它们在瀑布式活化后降解其底物 ,使一系列细胞骨架蛋白及细胞修复酶等裂解 ,导致细胞凋亡。其中 ,Ｃａｓｐａｓｅ 3被认为是Ｃａｓｐａｓｅ级联反应中最关键的效应
Caspase, a key homologous cysteine protease in mammalian apoptosis programs, specifically cleaves target proteins after aspartate residues.
