社会形态的急剧变化给傅抱石的生活带来了不小的变化,也给他的学术研究和绘画创作带来相应的深刻影响。傅抱石难抵特定的时代主流话语的影响与干预,逐渐调整观念,皈依现实主义精神的感召,先验地将现实主义精神转嫁于古代绘画史建构中,力图以“现实主义”为历史线索来梳理出古代绘画史自萌芽、发生、发展、到消长的演进之路。在一定程度上,从学者的主观而言是努力跟上时代,而从著作的客观状况言之,便是打上了深深的时代烙印。显然,绘画史写作日益注重政治表态和理论指导的明示,其对于绘画传统的阐释与定位,以及将这种阐释定位进行知识化传播,都带有浓烈的主流意识形态导引的色彩。傅抱石的绘画史研究在1950年代以后的价值位移,实已深化或内化为思维方法论层面的嬗变。时代在变迁,思想在开放。经过岁月的冲洗,傅抱石的“现实主义”绘画变迁史观不一定能完全支配现今美术中人的思想。尽管如此,我们不能全盘责备,而要以宽容的心态待之,并以历史的眼光客观地评价其人其著。 The dramatic changes in social form have brought a lot of changes to Fu Baoshi’s life, and have brought profound influences on his academic research and painting.
