陈树森是奠定北京二中基本格局的校长。他曾任教保定育德中学和北京四中,深得两所名校的办学真谛。上世纪30年代接任北京二中校长后,结合两校的办学风格,形成了二中自己的校风。他首要延聘高师,礼贤下士;德、智、体三育并重;爱生如子;确定了二中校址;因此,深受师生爱戴。在他任北京二中校长12年期间,二中成为仅随四中之后的北京中学界的翘楚。 Chen Shusen is the principal who laid the foundation for the Beijing Second Middle School. He taught Baoding Yude Middle School and Beijing No. 4 Middle School and won the essence of running schools of the two prestigious schools. After taking over as the principal of Beijing No. 2 Middle School in the 1930s, combining with the school-running style of the two universities, it formed its own school ethos.
