红枣营养丰富,含有糖、蛋白质,铁、钙、维生素等成份,有较高的经济价值。我国河北、山东、河南、陕西、甘肃、山西等地枣树最多,栽培历史也很悠久。2000多年前撰成的我国第一部记传体通史《史记》中就有“安邑千树枣”的记载(安邑在山西省运城县境内),可见当时栽培枣树之盛。稷山县是我国红枣的主要产区之一,这里生产的板枣品种优良,含糖量高达71.5%,畅销国内外。但是,多年来红枣生产中的重要技术问题——快速干制,一直没有得到解决。每到红枣收获季节,常因绵绵秋雨,造成大量霉烂,离晾枣棚很远的地方就可闻到酸臭的烂枣味。1975年仅稷山县桃村大队就烂掉鲜枣25万多斤,烂枣率高达50%以上,损失6万余元。群众看着一堆堆烂
