In order to develop and utilize the city’s guava resources, we used cytology combined detection methods to study the effects of guava fruit, leaf and peel extracts on human lymphocyte immunity, cell proliferation and cytogenetics in vitro. The lymphocyte transformation rate of the guava fruit, leaf, bark and root bark extract groups was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.005); the cell cycle ratio and the proliferation rate index decreased as the dose increased, and the high dose group The difference between the control group was highly significant (P<0.005); the frequency of sister chromatid exchange was higher than that of the control group, and there was a significant difference between each dose (P<0.05 and P<0.001); the rate of micronucleus cells was in the fruit, Each dose in the leaf extract was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.005 and P<0.05). The results suggest that guava inhibits lymphocyte transformation and proliferation and slightly induces sister chromatid exchange and micronuclei. Given that guava has high food and medicinal value, and this test sample is wild, it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study on the safety of guava.
