Objective To investigate the effect of rehabilitation exercise on lower limbs of stroke patients by using rehabilitation robot (Lokohelp). Methods Sixty-six stroke patients were hospitalized in Department of Neurology from August 2013 to December 2014. According to the random number table, stroke patients were divided into observation group and control group, with 33 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were trained by the patients after giving regular rehabilitation training. The patients in the observation group were given rehabilitation training of the lower limbs of the robot. Both groups were given rehabilitation training for 2 months. The changes of lower extremity motor function, balance function, muscle strength and walking ability were compared between the two groups before and after rehabilitation training. Results After training, the lower limbs’ motor function, balance function, sling muscle and quadriceps muscle strength and walking ability were significantly improved in both groups, and the increase in observation group was significantly greater than that in control group (P <0.05). Conclusions Lokohelp robot lower limbs rehabilitation training can significantly improve lower limbs’ motor function, balance function, sling muscle, quadriceps muscle strength and walking ability in stroke patients.
