当前经侦工作面临的突出矛盾主要有以下几个方面：经济犯罪的严重危害性与社会公众、侦查主体的认知相对滞后的矛盾；经侦执法实践中的国家利益与地方利益以及地方利益之间的矛盾；经济犯罪的跨区域性、结伙性与经侦工作尚未形成统一的格局，各自为政，各行其是的矛盾；经济犯罪活动的智能性、隐蔽性与经侦人员素质不相适应、侦查手段相对滞后的矛盾；经侦任务的长期性、艰巨性与经侦工作基础薄弱、后劲严重不足的矛盾。为此，要使我国的经侦工作协调、有序地发展，必须在思想观念、经侦体制与相关司法制度、经侦运行机制、队伍建设与基础业务建设等方面加强改革。
