很久以前就听爷爷说起过,我的老家在江苏扬州 的一个叫响水桥的地方。老一辈就是从那个地方走出 来闯荡世界,在安徽的芜湖置下产业,后因日本入侵而 内迁,多处颠簸,终于在临解放前成了武汉市民。老爷 爷去世已经多年,等到我明白事理的时候,才发现有太 多的问题无法解答。今天,父亲也到了当年老爷爷的年 龄,虽然已经算不上真正意义上的扬州人,但生活中的 一些细节、习惯,甚至思维方式都还保持着江浙人的风 格,偶尔谈起扬州,神情里透出许多遗憾。 Long ago I heard grandpa talked about, my hometown in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, a place called Xiangshui Bridge.
