During the exploration of the 《Buco del Castello》 cave (Lornbardia, Italy) several cups withinside a very large number of cave pearls have been found. All these pearls have been tacken off. The statistical analyses showed that there is always a direct relation between the minimum diameter ofthe pearls and the degree of water turbolence inside each cup. Moreover it has been pointed out that an inverse proportion probably has to exist between the numberof the pearls and their external surface.
