玻璃纤维混凝土(GBC)是一种水泥混凝土与玻璃纤维的复合材料。要制造玻璃纤维混凝土,除必须掌握水泥混凝土技术之外,还必须掌握耐碱性玻璃纤维制造技术以及这两者的复合成型技术。英国建筑研究所与皮尔京顿公司共同研究成功了耐碱性玻璃纤维,并在工业生产中进行了应用。对用耐碱性玻璃纤维制造玻璃纤维混凝土的基本成型方式、长期耐久性、各种物理性能等也进行了探索性研究。
Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GBC) is a composite material of cement concrete and glass fiber. To manufacture glass fiber reinforced concrete, in addition to having to master cement concrete technology, we must also master the alkali-resistant glass fiber manufacturing technology and the composite molding technology of both. The British Institute of Architecture and Peelington Company have successfully studied alkali-resistant glass fibers and applied them in industrial production. An exploratory study has also been conducted on the basic molding methods, long-term durability, and various physical properties of glass fiber reinforced concrete made of alkali-resistant glass fibers.
