海明威是美国的著名作家,他的文章以结构简明,句式简单易懂著称。《雨中的猫》是海明威在1923年发表的一篇非常著名的短篇小说。小说情节看似简单,其实大部分主题信息都被作者隐藏在了文本之下。海明威在他的纪实作品《午后之死》中,提出了著名的“冰山原则”。他以“冰山”为喻,认为作者只应描写“冰山”露出水面的那“八分之一”;而水下的那“八分之七”应该能过文本的提示让读者凭借自己对文本的把握去补充和领会。文本将尝试去探寻什么才是《雨中的猫》的那“八分之七”。
Hemingway is a famous writer in the United States. His essay is characterized by concise structure and simple sentences. Cat in the Rain is a very famous short story published by Hemingway in 1923. The plot seems simple, in fact, most of the subject information is hidden by the author under the text.
