日本软银创立于1981年,早期以资本投资和运作为主,并塑造了大量的成功风险投资案例。公司从本世纪初开始涉足电信领域,起初是通过与Yahoo的合资企业Yahoo BB!提供宽带业务,并凭借低价策略和丰富的内容应用迅速占据日本宽带市场1/3的份额,成为日本最大的宽带运营商。2004年,通过并购Japan Telecom进军固网领域;2006年初,通过收购Vodafone KK踏入移动市场。短短几年,日本软银已经从一家非电信企业(2001~2002财年前没有电信业务收入)通过并购方式快速成长为年收入规模大约为200亿美元、电信业务收入比重上升至近80%、在日本电信市场位列前“三甲”的全业务电信运营商。鉴于日本软银奇特的发展经历,在已推出的西班牙电信与英国电信转型发展的基础上,本期特推出日本软银公司的报道,本文作者不仅针对日本软银的发展轨迹和成长历程进行了回顾,还对其转型经验进行深入总结,并力求对国内运营商的企业转型提供有益的思考和启示。
Japan Softbank was founded in 1981, mainly in the early capital investment and operation, and create a large number of successful venture capital case. The company has been involved in the telecom field since the early 2000s, initially providing broadband services through its Yahoo! Yahoo! joint venture and rapidly taking up one-third of the Japanese broadband market with its low-cost tactics and rich content applications, making it the largest in Japan Broadband operators. In 2004, through the acquisition of Japan Telecom into the field of fixed-line; early 2006, through the acquisition of Vodafone KK into the mobile market. In just a few years, Softbank Japan has rapidly grown from a non-telecom company (without telecom revenue before FY2002 to FY2002) through M & A to an annual revenue of about 20 billion U.S. dollars and a telecom revenue share of nearly 80% Japan Telecom market before the “top three” full-service telecom operators.
