2009年上半年,山西原平市西约五公里处发现一批尖首刀币。经了解,是当地人盖房挖地基时发现。刀币罐装,连同残破者总数约两千多枚。笔者收集到75枚这批刀币的资料,现将这批材料做简要报道,以便学术界研究、参考。这批尖首刀保存较好,文字清晰,生坑绿锈,质地精良。刀币形制基本相同,为弧背凹刃,刀刃没有郭线,刀背郭线止于与刀柄相交处。刀体狭长,刀首呈直斜坡状并不内凹。刀柄正面均为两条竖线,背面大都有两条竖线,一部分有一条竖线,目前仅发现一枚无竖线。一般通长141~162mm之间,重量在6.4~13.7g之间,个别重至16.8g。刀面多带有文字
In the first half of 2009, a batch of sharp knife currency was found about five kilometers west of Yuanping City, Shanxi Province. As we have learned, it is found by locals when they dig a foundation. Canned knives, together with the total number of broken about two thousand pieces.
