CIO 做好定位是很关键的。首先,CIO 要明确企业自身的战略定位,是降低成本、拓宽销售,还是加强内部管理?然后根据战略定位,对照企业自身的核心业务进行梳理,找准企业自身的问题所在,制定信息化应用的规划。规划不仅仅是面对当前的,更应该具有战略指导性。一方面要应对当前的危机,另一方面要建立防范危机的机制。同时,根据信息化应用的规划,判断现有系统的应用效能:哪些系统吻合了企业的战略,哪些应用不突出。在此基础上,制定或完善信息化的规划。总之,CIO 应该站在企业发展的角度考虑问题,把决策层的管理意图通过系统翻译出来,而不仅仅着眼于系统本身,不然只能说明这个 CIO 还需要修炼。
