约翰·拉贝故居的大门重新打开。在中、德四方近一年的共同努力下,拉贝故居修缮完工。从现在起,拉贝故居将成为“拉贝与国际安全区纪念馆”和“拉贝和平与冲突化解研究交流中心”。2006年10月31日,南京大学、德意志联邦共和国驻上海总领事馆、西门子(中国)有限公司、江苏博西家用电器销售有限公司在南京大学举行揭幕仪式,这标志着修缮一新的约翰·拉贝故居正式对外开放。经过各方为时近一年的不懈努力,饱经风霜的约翰·拉贝故居今天修缮一新,并将作为“拉贝与国际安全区纪念馆”和”拉贝和平与冲突化解国际研究交流中心”对外开放。作为一个综合性学术研究的国际平台,该中心将不仅用来纪念在二战中协同南京安全区国际委员会拯救了超过25万人生命的约翰·拉贝先生,还将致力于促进国际和平研究和文化交流。故居修缮工程费用225万元人民币由各方联合集资,西门子为主要资助方,南京大学负责具体修缮事宜。
The door of John Rabe’s house reopened. Nearly a year of joint efforts by Germany and Germany, the renovation of the former residence of Rabe was completed. After nearly a year of hard work by all parties, the weathered former home of John Rabe was renovated today and will serve as a “Rabe and International Security Zone Memorial Hall” and “Rabe International Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution and Exchange” open. As an international platform for comprehensive academic research, the center will not only serve to commemorate John Rabe, who saved more than 250,000 lives during the World War II in collaboration with the International Committee of the Nanjing Security Zone, but will also work to promote international peace research and culture communicate with. The renovation cost of the former residence is 2.25 million yuan, jointly financed by all parties and Siemens is the main sponsor. Nanjing University is responsible for the concrete repairs.
