第26届世界大学生夏季运动会于2011年8月12日至23日在深圳举行,来自超过180个国家的13000名选手角逐了24个竞技项目(其中22个是奥运项目).这是中国继2001年北京夏季大运会和2009年哈尔滨冬季大运会后,第三次举办这项盛事.素有“小奥运会”之称的大运会可谓世界大学生(包括在校生和毕业不超过两年的大学生)的竞技场地.
The 26th Summer Universiade was held in Shenzhen from August 12 to 23, 2011. Over 13,000 athletes from over 180 countries competed for 24 athletics events (22 of which are Olympic events), following China’s 2001 bid The event was held for the third time after the Summer Universiade in Beijing and the Winter Universiade in Harbin in 2009. The Universiade known as the “Little Olympics” is a world champion for college students (including undergraduates and undergraduates graduating for not more than two years) site.
