Oyo’s Luton-based European office has released news that they have released a new, shallow-source seismic data processing unit, Q-seis. Q-seis is an integrated device for integrated processing of reflections and reflections from shallow sources in IBM-compatible personal computers. It is connected to the Oyo Mcseis 160 enhanced seismometer but can also process data recorded by other seismographs. Oyo said that this device allows geophysicists in field operations to process shallow seismic data on-site with Lap-top PCs, so it can improve field-based observation techniques and improve the quality of recorded data with very few components.
