隶属于塔里木板块东北缘的甘肃北山草呼勒哈德地区,出露大量前人所划的“勒巴泉群”(S1—S2)地层。依据1∶25 万马鬃山幅区调资料和前人成果,从“勒巴泉群”中解体出前长城系敦煌岩群(AnChD),并通过讨论变质火山岩的岩石地球化学特征,首次证实塔里木板块东北缘在早元古代属不成熟岛弧及活动陆缘构造环境。
