Excavator demand in April 2014 remained below expectation: the sequential decrease in sales volume was more than the seasonal pattern. Yunnan and Guangdong provinces, which had performed well in the previous periods, weakened their demand in April while those in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang still had a larger decline than last year. According to statistics, in April 2014, the sales volume of hydraulic excavators of 30 major excavator enterprises was 12,478 units, a decrease of 2,992 units as compared with the same period of last year.
